SAN DIEGORecently, Tausif Siddiqui, MD, a gastroenterology and hepatology fellow at Cleveland Clinic, in Ohio, sat down with Gastroenterology & Endoscopy News to discuss his recent study examining gastric cancer trends among young adults, presented at DDW 2025.

This trend toward younger age at diagnosis means that “we need to put things together and develop a strategy to be able to navigate our next steps in terms of treatment,” he said, and develop screening strategies to identify high-risk populations.

The goal, he added, is to help these patients sooner and offer “better care as well as more curative and more efficient treatment before this cancer can advance.”
