Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) for Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI) was largely safe and effective in a recent study of immunocompromised patients (Dig Dis Sci 2022 Jan 9. doi:10.1007/s10620-021-07347-x).
These results provide important information for clinicians who may be reluctant to perform FMT in a population that historically was excluded from clinical trials of FMT for CDI treatment, according to the investigators.
