PHILADELPHIA—Rajmohan Rammohan, MD, a gastroenterology fellow at Nassau University Medical Center, in East Meadow, N.Y., sat down with Gastroenterology & Endoscopy News to discuss his second year of fellowship, current research projects and what led him to the field of GI after one year in a surgical rotation.
“I missed medicine when I was in surgery. That’s the main reason I wanted to move toward GI. It gives the mix and match of both worlds,” Dr. Rammohan said. “The job satisfaction that we get is really great.”
Dr. Rammohan maintains an ambitious research agenda and has participated in studies on topics ranging from green endoscopy to the role of artificial intelligence, which he said will be a “revolutionary change in GI.”
