More Sugar Increases Fibrosis Risk in Latino Teens

Higher sugar intake is associated with increased liver fat accumulation in Latino adolescents, and those with a particular genotype who consume large quantities of sugar could be at higher risk for fibrosis, according to research presented at the 2023 annual meeting of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
