The next-generation sequencing panel PancreaSeq accurately classified pancreatic cysts as malignant or benign in a prospective multicenter study. The test, which incorporates 22 genes associated with pancreatic cancer, appears to be more precise than the current diagnostic testing standard of cross-sectional imaging, the study of more than 1,800 individuals showed.
