CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Patients diagnosed with gastric cancer are more likely to also be diagnosed with pernicious anemia, Helicobacter pylori infections or congestive heart failure, according to a large, multicenter cohort study.
These diagnoses and comorbidities are among myriad risk factors, along with demographic data, quantified by researchers to detect associations with gastric cancer.
The researchers, led by Khaled Alsabbagh Alchirazi, MD, a clinical assistant professor at Cleveland
