San Diego—The relatively low rates of female doctors specializing in gastroenterology are well documented, but new data point to a solution: Place more women in leadership roles.
“Women in any leadership position increase the mean number of female fellows in a GI training program,” reported Sajiv Sethi, MD, a fellow in the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of South Florida, in Tampa.
