Device Allows Clinicians to Motor Through Endoscopy

Gastrointestinal endoscopies may soon get a big boost if an experimental device is approved. In a study of 132 patients in Europe, a motorized spiral enteroscope that is being developed by Olympus Medical was inserted to a mean maximum depth of 425 cm beyond the ligament of Treitz within an average of 28 minutes.
