CDC says at least 84 people sickened

At least 84 people in 19 states have been sickened with Escherichia coli O157:H7 infections linked to contaminated romaine lettuce, according to the CDC

On Wednesday, health officials added Colorado, Georgia and South Dakota to the list of states affected by the outbreak, which investigators suspect is related to romaine lettuce grown in the area of Yuma, Ariz. Officials said romaine lettuce grown in California and elsewhere is safe to eat. If the source of the lettuce is unclear—as
