Pediatric Gastros Falling Short on Constipation Guidelines

Survey finds disconnect on joint recs from European, North American groups

Many gastroenterologists are unfamiliar with recent guidelines on how to manage children who have functional constipation, according to a new survey.

The upside: Even clinicians who aren’t aware of the recommendations tend to make treatment decisions that correlate well with the guidelines.
