As July rapidly approaches, like clockwork, a new group of wide-eyed and eager gastroenterology trainees will begin their fellowship. As for me, July will mark the end of a year of fellowship training. It’s been a year full of momentous experiences from endoscopically treating patients exsanguinating in the intensive care unit to performing my first fecal transplant to being able to cure patients with hepatitis C.
