Boston—A comprehensive manufacturer-sponsored patient support program (PSP) for patients prescribed adalimumab helped increase adherence to treatment by 29% over one year, according to research sponsored by AbbVie.
The study, presented at the 2018 annual meeting of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy Managed Care and Specialty Pharmacy, also demonstrated that program participants had a 22% lower rate of drug discontinuation and 9% lower total health care costs than similar patients who
