In particular, clinicians perform hot snare polypectomy when they could be using cold snare instead, according to Cyrus Piraka, MD, the chief of advanced therapeutic endoscopy at Henry Ford Hospital, in Detroit. Cold snare polypectomy is associated with less risk for delayed bleeding and other complications, and avoids the need for
