An algorithm developed by researchers at Mayo Clinic successfully improved predictions of colorectal cancer recurrence in a recent multinational study.
“My hypothesis was we already know a whole lot about colon cancer and what features influence prognosis, so why don’t we just develop something that can better quantify them, rather than the qualitative way that we currently do things,” said researcher Rish K. Pai, MD, PhD, an anatomic pathologist and a professor of laboratory
